I moderated a fireside chat on federal tax policies that fuel the racial wealth gap with Dorothy Brown, a law professor and author of The Whiteness of Wealth. The chat kicked off the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies’ 2023 Future of Black Communities Summit.

City Study and Legislation

My 2018 investigation into the King County housing court system was the only non-governmental or academic report cited in a government study about Seattle’s eviction trends. It led Seattle lawmakers to pass eviction-prevention legislation in 2019.
